New York, NY, September 20, 2009 —Dr. Faustus, an organization dedicated to the promotion of new, creative music, presents the second edition of its Chamber Concert Series, “Encuentros,” an evening of new music for mixed chamber ensemble. The concert will be held at the Tenri Cultural Institute (43A W 13th Street, New York) on Sunday, October 25th, at 8:00PM. Admission: $15 ($10 for students). The concert will be followed by a short reception
Featured will be the world and US premieres of new works by internationally acclaimed composers Jesús Rueda, (Spain), and Marcela Rodriguez (Mexico), joined by a group of emerging NYC composers, André Brégégère, Edward Rosenberg III, and Inés Thiebaut. The works will be performed by the ensemble Second Instrumental Unit (David Fulmer, director).
