"La vie dans les plis (“life in the folds,” a title borrowed from Henri Michaux eponymous collection of poems) was commissioned by violinist Karen Rostron and pianist Mirna Lekić. In this duo, the piano and violin are treated as equal partners in a conversation at cross purposes, with only a few passing moments of true communication. Yet, echoes among their respective parts suggests the possibility of a deeper, more intimate connection, under the surface." - A. Bregegere
