My brand new song cycle, Six poèmes, was premiered last Friday (5/18) in NYC at the WMP Concert Hall, as par of Dr. Faustus's concert: "New Art Songs: a 21st century songbook." Here is a video of the performance:
The concert also featured three other brand new song cycles: Ramin Heydarbeygi's Astvihad, Daniel Colson's Death and Becoming, and Osnat Netzer's ten songs of yesno. The works were performed by singers Mary Hubbell, Seth Gilman, and David Salsbery Fry; and by pianists Mirna Lekic, David Friend, and Aaron Likness.
All four works were commissioned by Dr. Faustus.
